HINCHCLIFF MEMORIAL LIONS PARK

Public BBQ

Hinchcliff Memorial Lions Park proves that good things come in small packages, though "small" might be understating it. The camping spots are rather intimately arranged - so close you'll know what your neighbours had for breakfast. The toilets, however, are genuinely spotless, which counts for everything when you're travelling. The fully fenced playground keeps the little ones contained while adults appreciate the undercover barbecue area with power points - a thoughtful touch for charging devices. Two community BBQs sit under decent shade with proper seating, and there's even a sink for washing up. The cold shower in the middle of the park seems optimistic unless it's stinking hot outside. What elevates this spot beyond basic amenities is the historical elements scattered throughout - entertainment for the "big kids" once the playground loses its appeal. It's clearly well-maintained by the local Lions Club, and the peaceful atmosphere works equally well for day trips or overnight stays. Perfect for passing travellers seeking clean facilities without the fuss.
